Today is suicide prevention day and although I feel if someone is suffering life so much and they don’t want to do it anymore then we should respect their choice but my thoughts go out to the family, friends and fans who then suffer for the loss and use this day a reminder to respect, show love and kindness to those who deserve it as you never know how it will effect their day.
RIP, Uncle Max and Paul Hester.

my opinion on the melbourne music scene

Melbourne there’s the north vs south side stigma

With the way record sales are bands are flogging themselves on tours with means we don’t have to wait or need to see a band, they’ll be back next month anyway.

With the internet we’re exposed to more bands > more bands can tour/ radio play etc

With internet we don’t have to go out to hear a band/ watch them

So many festivals people can’t afford it all

i had the pleasure of interviewing my friend on friday and it was nice to get an honest opinion on what i’m like as an interviewer.

so i’m hoping to apply for the warped tour mosh pit reporter for 2011 and i’m working on it now although seeming i’m on a loan computer i don’t have word and i’m mentally exhausted.

i have a bit started so far it’s love you’re opinions

Hi,
My name is Cassie Walker, although my DJ name is Cassette Walkman and I am 24, will be 25 next Warped Tour and live in Melbourne, Australia. Here I am a TV host on 1700 a youth based music TV show, an interviewer of the punk and metal acts on ‘New & Approved’ on SYN Radio, writer for punk music website bombshellzine.com and am the music co-ordinator at live music venue Prince Bandroom in St Kilda and if that’s not enough to qualify as the pit reporter I have worked as a merch girl, then promoted to tour manager for ‘The Randies’ on Warped Tour 2006, 2007 and 2008 so the sleepless days, baby wipe showers and catering lines let’s just say i’m having withdrawals from them! Aside from my past experience I feel my easy going, happy go lucky personality works well on such a caffine induced, fast passed and stressful environment and because i’m short (4 foot 8”) sleeping in a bunk is fine!I have a passport and a laptop and know my way around facebook, myspace, twitter, tumblr, pagesdigital, bebo, buzznet and anything else i’m sure is easy enough to learn.(feel free to lurk me cassette.tumblr.com, myspace.com/cassie_w, http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1618886031)and here is a live to air out door concert I hosted earlier in the year http://www.c31.org.au/show/our_shows/?show_title=1700_-_Live_At_The_Lawn&show_id=351

what do you think?
