my good friends ANGELAS DISH dropped came to Melbourne earlier this week for a fly in visit and i played temp housing for them.
I love these boys and their music so much!
i over heard Mick say “we don’t really see anyone from the scene anymore, we only make an effort to see Cassie when we come to Melbourne, but she’s deeper than just scene, we actually miss her”.
yes he was drunk but it’s pretty nice hearing things like that.
It’s so easy to have your efforts go unnoticed in the music industry and i have been helping this band out since i was 16.
Angela’s Dish are one of those bands that most music fans know of.
They were part of the rise of Central Coast bands in the early 2000s, along with Something With Numbers, In The Grey and After the Fall.
The early 2000s was amazing for local music, every weekend we’d spend watching these bands along Kisschasy, Horsell Common and Trial Kennedy.
Angela’s Dish have released 3 or so EPS and 2 albums and the latest is incredible, yet it seems to me that it’s the time when they write and record their best material to date is the time when people stop caring about them.
it’s funny how this industry works.
